The PureFlow 2 is part of the PureProject collection from Brooks. The Pure Project is a line of minimalist road and trail-running shoes that features a 4mm heel-to-toe drop and an elastic band to provide a snug fit. Brooks developed five unique features called the Ideal Technologies (Nav Band, Toe Flex, BioMOGO DNA, Ideal Heel and Anatomical Last) that are featured in every PureProject shoe. Combined, these technologies are designed to promote an efficient, natural stride by encouraging a more forward foot strike, which places the runner over their center of gravity, helps align the body and reduces harmful stress. The PureFlow is built on an anatomical last, which means that it has a roomier toe box to let your toes land naturally (as though you were barefoot). The PureFlow is specifically designed for roadrunning, and has a wider construction and more cushioning than the PureConnect. Because it has 4mm of heel-to-toe drop, this is an excellent transition shoe if you are interested in strengthening your feet to move into a zero-drop 'barefoot' shoe.

These are the most comfortable sneakers that I have ever run in. I am 6'1", 195 pounds with neutral arches and I love these sneakers. I also love that they are lightweight. I highly recommend them.

I bought these for the hubs. He has 2 other colors of the same pair. He has plantar fasciitis and these are one of very few shoes he can wear all day, so these are definitely a win!

I was looking for a shoe low heal-to-toe drop with cushioning for longer runs. The PureFlow fits the bill. I have a relatively narrow foot so the toe-box is a bit too wide and the lacing system doesn't really allow adjustments to the toe box. But, overall, I'm happy with the shoe.

If you're lamenting the of of the Green Silence, this is the shoe for you. Green Silence and Pure Connect made sweet, sweet love and this jewel was born. Pure Flow 2 has the wraparound tongue and identical cushion of Green Silence, and the foot-hugging fit of the Pure Connect. With all of this you get a little support without the strict discipline of the Adrenaline or Trance.

Loved this shoe, but the toe-box buckles in which makes a large crease that pushes in on the toes. Very annoying. Sent back 2 pair, each with the same problem, once on the right and once on the left shoe. Will wait until PureFlow 3 for Brooks to correct this flaw.

These are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever owned. I weigh 185lbs and run about 15 miles per week. I bought these instead of the Pureflow 3 simply because they were less expensive. Definitely a keeper.

The lightest, most comfortable and stable running shoes ever owned! I'm on my second pair of the exact shoe (Pure Flow2). I hope the never go out of style, and keep making them!

I spent the last two years switching from Newtons for long training runs to Pure Cadence and Drifts for shorter runs and races. Bought a pair of PureFlow2's mid Summer and have abandoned the Cadance and Newtons all together. The PureFlow is by far the most comfortable Nuetral shoe that I have ever owned; suitable for all training runs and light enough for race day. I ran my fourth full marathon in Columbus this past Fall in the Flows, and it is the first time that I have finished with completely fresh feet. No hot spots, no arch fatique, no nothing. Never once had to think about altering my stride for relief. I cannot attribute my time to the shoes entirely, but ran 3:23 and change, a PB by over two minutes! They claim this shoe is meant for average to high arch foot type, but I have a relatively flat and wide foot, and they are a perfect fit for me. The wear seems to be average for this type of shoe, about 400 miles in my experience. But to me, the relatively low price tag seems to off-set the wear factor. I now rotate three pairs and have one pair in the box for an April full. I highly recommend the shoes for anyone looking for one quiver shoes.

This is the best pair of running shoes I have ever owned. Light. Simple. Yet, so darned comfortable. I am 5'8" and 167 lbs. and 45 years old. I have a moderate pronation, which this model is supposed to be geared towards. It does not provide much "cushion" in the heel, but this model is designed for front/mid foot strike. Never going back to Asics Gel.

Great shoes but they only last 250 miles. I'm on my second pair. My runner;s knee has gone away since switching to these minimalist shoes. It take a little while to adjust to feeling every impact and to modify your stride but the result is faster and more healthy running. Great shoes!

These are great shoes! Really good arch support and comfortable. I haven't found sneakers this great for my feet in a long time. Enough room in the toe box too!

I've run in the Nike Free's for the past few years, and switched to the PureFlows last year. I recently ordered the PureFlow 2's and could not be happier! They are hands down the most comfortable and supportive running shoes I have had yet. Highly recommended!

These shoes were recommended by an athletic trainer who advocates minimalist, zero-heel drop shoes to develop foot strength and flexibility. These shoes feature a semi-split toe, and they are really entry-level minimalist shoes because they have a flexible but relatively hard sole. The sole offers good protection minimal cushion. At 6'4" and 230 pounds, I have found these to be excellent shoes for running, aerobics, weights and cross-training. They provide good lateral support, and the aforementioned soles are solid but not cushioned. These features combined with the zero-heel drop really promote a more balanced running gait and reduce the tendency to heel-strike. Again, the soles provide adequate protections for exercising/running on pavement and concrete; however, it takes some time for your feet to strengthen and become accustomed to the lack of cushioning. These shoes have proven superior to my Nike Free running and cross-training shoes. They fit like a glove; and in contrast to the Nike Free experience, there is much less foot movement with the shoe during contact with the running surface. The only potential negative is the styling. That said, function takes precedence over appearance.

Has more room in the toe area than I was expecting, but once I got used to it, it was fine. Its by far the most comfortable running shoe I've worn. Super light as well.

I bought this shoe on a whim. I have never run in a minimalist shoe. I was faster right off the bat! It caused some calf soreness at first, and took about 2-3 weeks to adjust to. I have put over 300 miles on them and they are still in great shape. The best thing these shoes have done for me is eliminate my knee pain. Completely. I think this is because these shoes force you to run on your fore foot more than your heel...aligning you better. My 5k times are faster, I feel better. I'm just in love with these shoes! Thanks Brooks!

Awesome shoe! Let me start by saying that like many of the reviewers I loved the three pairs of original Pureflows I owned. After reading how disappointed some of people were in the new styling I was a bit hesitant to buy. After thinking about it for a few days I decided to buy a pair, but changed the way I approached the purchase. Instead of approaching the purchase like I was buying the Pureflows that Brooks decided to change on me....I just acted like I was buying a completely different pair of running shoes. When I first slipped them on I thought to myself "wow, this new shoe feels amazing! Kinda like my Pureflows, but just a little different." On my first run I thought to myself, "wow, these shoes feel just like my Pureflows." Sure the lacing does give a slightly different feel, but when it comes down to it they are still an awesome pair of running shoes. One more thing. Order them a half size smaller than your original Pureflows. The 10.5s I bought were like clown shoes. The 10s are perfect.

I ran 2 marathons in the glycerin 9's. I then began transitioning into 5 finger shoes and found that they're not great for distance. These shoes have been awesome! I just hit 100 miles in them and I have 0 complaints. I did order 1/2 size smaller and it was good fit.

The Pure Flow 2 is the best running shoe I've worn. I had been wearing Asics 2000, 2100 series and Brooks GTX, but the Pure Flow just works better. It is also the best for walking. The lower heel allows the foot to land more mid foot thereby getting better force response from the upper leg and hips without stressing the calf or the shins during impact. The design is a whole step forward in shoe engineering. Its not perfect, but the fundamental shape of the insole, heel cup and sole really work well for movement from heel to toe in the running motion. This shoe will prevent many injuries to achilles, shins, knees due to the more natural way the force of each stride is absorbed up through the body rather than in the foot or lower leg.

Excellent running shoe for 5 to 10 Mile run. I moved to these after being a long time Nike runner. The only suggestion I have is to be sure to have socks on correctly, the Achilles support on these is strong than I was used to. I got a blister because I did not have my socks on correctly!

Great shoe. I've always had an issue with running where the minimal zero drop shoes didn't provide enough padding, and regular running shoes hurt my calves due to the height of the heel. These shoes are awesome and are the perfect shoe for someone looking for both cushion and minimal drop. I've used them for runs up to 5 miles, and ruck marches up to 15 miles with zero issues, even when they were wet, covered in mud, or abused some other way.

This is a great shoe. Low drop profile with plush cushioning. Makes a potent combination for a distance shoe. For the first time with Brooks I have found myself going up a 1/2 size. Please use their fit calculator on their website to make sure. Not crazy about the two colorways currently offered ( hunting orange or black) but you will be going so fast no one will notice. I will buy these again certainly.
